Reason 152: His house was robbed while he was in it.
Jay Leno: And your house was robbed? Is that true?
Hugh Laurie: No, no! It was robbed here (USA) while I was in it!
JL: While you were in it? Well, that’s… wow!
Hugh Laurie: Is that unusual?
JL: I mean did you say “oh! excuse me, go ahead..” I mean, how does that work? I mean were you watching television and suddenly the television was gone?
Hugh Laurie: Yes, please! I didn’t know till the morning I came down and there weren’t things where they were supposed to be and I was looking…
JL: But that’s a frightening thing, isn’t it?
Hugh Laurie: That they were in the house while I was in the house? Yes, I’m a pretty sound sleeper I think they could’ve… yeah, yeah. I think it’s probaly just as well I didn’t wake up.
JL: So what did they take?
Hugh Laurie: They took odds and ends, and a purse, and some money, and a phone… bits and pieces. But I’d like to think that they’ll be doing something constructive with them, they’ll be rebuilding their lives and going on to cure things-
